Our cats and kittens are ethically raised and cared for, as part of the family.
We often have available quality kittens, with exotic colours.

Professional Cat Breeder - Dorothy Hodge
Salah British Shorthair Cattery is nestled on my family farm in rural Bunyip, Victoria which is also home to my Arabian Stud. I have owned, bred and shown world class Egyptian bred Arabian horses for over 50 years as well as breeding and racing successful Thoroughbred racehorses. I have owned and loved cats my whole life with one of my first memories being dressing up my very patient black cat called Spencer. Whilst I have always kept cats as pets, I have finally been able to fulfill my dream of breeding my favourite breed of all; the beautiful British Shorthair.
British Shorthair Cats
The British Shorthair was developed in the UK in the mid 1800s from the domestic barn cats. It remains the most popular pedigreed breed in the Australia. British Shorthair Cats have a distinctively stocky body, thick coat, and round face. The most familiar colour variant is the "British Blue", with a solid blue-grey coat and amber coloured eyes. The breed has also developed a wide range of other colours and patterns, including tabby and colourpoint. The British Shorthair's intelligence, friendliness as well as their calm and trainable temperament often mean that they are used in advertising and they were in fact the inspiration for the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland.
